Groundbreaking Ceremony for the 6-12 Campus

Save the Date!

The Cuyahoga Falls High School PTSO will be hosting a Fall Vendor Fair on October 15, 2022, at CFHS. We have many new vendors this year and there will be something for everyone! A great place to start your holiday shopping! Also, please plan on having lunch with us. We will have Food Trucks at this event. Brooks Homestyle BBQ, El Meson's Mexican Street Corn, Sassy Dog, Metropolis Popcorn, and Kona Ice. Proceeds from the table sales from this event will go towards our 2023 Senior Scholarship Fund.

Update on Fires at Newberry Elementary School

At approximately 7:30 P.M. this evening, August 9th, the Cuyahoga Falls Police and Fire departments responded to a fire at Newberry Elementary School located at 2800 13th St. The fire department arrived on scene and quickly extinguished two small fires inside the building. School district officials on site noted there was minimal damage to the structure and no one was injured. Newberry Elementary School is scheduled to be demolished this fall due to the construction of the new 6-12 campus that will be built on that site. Cuyahoga Falls City School district officials will assist the Cuyahoga Falls Police and Fire Departments with their investigation of this incident.

On May 24th, during “Rock Fest” at Bolich Middle School, designers met with two groups of 6th graders to explain the importance of geotechnical borings. Project Manager Scott Alleman for the new Cuyahoga Falls 6-12 school commented, “Understanding the soil makeup and how it supports new buildings is an integral part of the design and construction process.”

The team isn’t just working on drawings and cost estimates for the new building though. "While we are working really hard to make deadlines, every once in a while, we take a break from our desks to engage with students during the process."
